Fátima Bethancourt Varela

Ms. Betancourt has extensive experience in the areas of labor, immigration and criminal law. Her recent accomplishments include the successful execution of employee relocation projects for national and international companies. Her practice focuses on administrative law, guaranteeing compliance with immigration and labor regulations.

Before joining Bufete Illueca, Fátima gained significant experience in the public sector. She worked at important governmental agencies such the Judicial Branch and the Attorney General’s Office. Particularly, she served in different specialized prosecutor’s offices, which allowed her to acquire extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of criminal procedure, environmental law, intellectual property, cyber-security and copyright.

Fatima has participated in workshops, seminars and courses on cybercrime, as well as in working groups of International Organizations and Multinational Companies on this subject.
