The legal practice of Diego Illueca focuses on Banking, Finance and Assets Management. Before joining Bufete Illueca, he worked in different sectors of Panama’s economy, including agribusiness, construction and corporate finance. Internationally, Diego worked for leading consulting companies such as Deloitte and KPMG contributing in the economic planning of different projects.
He has also collaborated in the development of FATCA implementation strategies for local financial entities, as well as in the oversight of compliance requirements related to the accumulation of data, generation of reports and files. Diego also assists in due diligence processes for the identification of potential risks and contingencies prior to the execution of transactions.
In the field of real estate, Diego advises investors and developers in all legal and taxation aspects. Taking advantage of its background in finance and investments, he provides support to his clients in the identification and implementation of the most appropriate strategy in the execution of real estate investments.
